Good Works

or the second year in a row, Sunrider International joined Americans nationwide to honor the spirit of service and unity on 9/11 Day, the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. What started with a simple idea by David Paine and Jay Winuk—to turn the anniversary of the September 11 attacks into a day of doing good—continues to inspire millions across the country.

In Los Angeles and Dallas, where Sunrider has its headquarters and a branch office, teams of 12 employees at each location rolled up their sleeves to pack meals for neighbors in need. At local community centers, volunteers worked side by side, assembling thousands of meals that would be distributed through Feeding America-affiliated food banks. For many, it was more than packing boxes—it was a moment to reflect, connect, and contribute to something bigger than themselves.

Those who couldn’t join in person still found a way to participate, sharing their acts of service online using the hashtag #IWillFor911Day. Across the nation, 9/11 Day volunteers aimed to assemble 9 million meals, helping ensure that Americans facing food insecurity could enjoy a nutritious meal.

“Sunrider and our team are honored to support and participate in 9/11 Day,” said Sunny Beutler, CEO of Sunrider International. “It’s important that we never forget those we lost and those impacted by the tragedy. Each year, by coming together in service, we pay tribute and make a meaningful difference for our communities.”

About 9/11 Day  The September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance stands as a permanent tribute to the victims, survivors, first responders, and members of the military who rose in service following the attacks. As the largest day of service in the U.S., 9/11 Day reminds Americans that acts of kindness and service have the power to change lives and strengthen communities.
